CAP – The Road We Travelled
This booklet, “The Road We Travelled,” serves as a compilation of forty best-practice success stories focusing primarily on the adoption and impact of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) within remote, rural, and Indigenous communities across Canada. The projects detail various initiatives, from digital media training and heritage preservation to the establishment of community radio, weather networks, and specialized IT services. Primarily funded through the Community Access Program (CAP) and the CAP Youth Initiative (CAP YI), the publication aims to encourage replication and sustainability by sharing practical strategies for community development and bridging the digital divide. The content is organized for easy use, providing a table of contents, a map of project locations, and a topical index to help readers find relevant and transferable models for their own communities.
